I’ve been doing a little dabbling in the nonfiction area lately. I’ve got one book I’m self-publishing on Amazon — I’ll post the link tomorrow once it’s gone live — and another I’m running past my agent.
The self-published one might look familiar. I re-tooled The Only Character Chart You’ll Ever Need ( did you notice it was missing from the site?), added an introduction and lots more questions, and it’ll be available for only a few US dollars starting tomorrow.
The second book, that I think has a good chance of getting a traditional publisher is How to Write If You’re a Kid and it’s just what it sounds like — a writing advice book for youngsters who want to learn how to write. I can’t tell you how often I’ve had kids and teens ask me if they’re too young to write and how to get started, so I decided it was time the market had a book for them.
